    ESM’s Transportation Department has the personnel and equipment to deliver our products on time. Our delivery performance averages 99.9% on time, year after year, for regularly scheduled and EMERGENCY shipments. Equipment is critical to delivery performance and ESM has made a substantial commitment in North America by purchasing 236 pieces of on and off road equipment. We also lease 14 units and control another 37 units of dedicated fleet equipment.

    ESM also contracts with a select group of carriers. ESM’s long standing experience and contacts in the transportation industry have evolved to a small group of core carriers that ensure delivery performance equal to our own.

    To maximize efficiency, most shipments are routed via our central dispatch office located in Saxonburg, Pa. Rail shipping is also available to and from the Titusville, PA and Nanticoke, Ontario, Canada facilities.

    In addition to transporting raw materials and finished products, the department handles all import and export functions, including customs clearance, duty drawback, export licensing, temporary import bonds, and letters of credit.
