ESM is currently the world's largest producer of prime magnesium metal powders.  Tremendous growth in the past years has led to a continuous expansion of facilities as well as production capacities.

    ESM can produce magnesium in the form of powders, chips and granules.  Production facilities are uniquely engineered to produce products to exact specifications in a prompt, cost efficient manner.

APPLICATIONS

    Typical applications for magnesium products include ammunition, ceramics, chemical reductions, electronics, flares, Grignard Process, pyrotechnics, iron and steel desulfurization, military applications, refractories and welding rods.

PACKAGING

    ESM ships magnesium powders in D.O.T. approved, sealed steel drums.  All packaging is done to specific customer requirements in regard to quantity per drum.  typically 325# net weight is packaged per drum.  Drums are normally palletized and banded to ensure convenient, safe material handling as well as a stable package for shipping.  Any packaging requirements will be considered on an individual basis.

TYPICAL SIZING

     ESM typically produces pure magnesium powder to particle sizes of -18 Mesh (U.S. Sieve) / 1000 microns by down.  The plant operations are highly flexible and can manufacture virtually any specific mesh or micron size ranges.

    The ability to produce to any specifications enables ESM to custom produce for customers exactly what they require regardless of sizing or quantity of material needed.
